Many of these tracks lend themselves to strolling, fitness freaks, cyclists etc

Make sure the advice on terrain, preparations for equipment and general levels of fitness required are noted.

Lakes & Wilderness East Gippsland Great Walks

Published by the East Gippsland Shire Council and really fantastic publication. The tracks are grouped into 4 main areas -

Great Alpine Road (eg Den of Nargun or Fairy Dell)
Gippsland Lakes and Rivers (eg Entrance to Lakes or Lonely Bay)
Snowy River Country (eg Cape Conran or Cabbage Tree Palms)
Croajingalong (eg Genoa Peaks or Point Hicks)

with 4-6 walks in each area well documented with directions, levels of difficulty and how to get to the start. Commentary is also helpful in getting to know the area better as well.

Bruthen Walking Trails

Published Gippsland Lakes Community Health at the Bruthen site and provides a range of walks around Bruthen ranging from easy to hard. Good directions are provided with commentary and a map.

Plane Crash Loop
All the walks depart form a common point and return there in a loop.
